The NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. Through this course, the students will learn about rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety, rifle shooting fundamentals, and rifle shooting activities. The Basic Rifle Course will also help prepare the student for participation in other NRA courses and activities.
Due to seasonal conditions a jacket, hat/cap, long pants and closed toe shoes are recommended.
You will need to bring a Rifle of your choice and at least 100 rounds of the correct new ammunition (no reloads) for you rfile, plus eye and hearing protection, and a hat. If you do not own a rifle we offer this course as all-inclusive. Contact us for more details.
