The Range Safety Officer Course is for individuals who wish to be qualified to oversee safe handling and shooting of rifles, pistols, and shotguns as prescribed by the range standard operation procedures.
To become a range safety officer, individuals must:
Be at least 21 years old.
Demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety.
Satisfactorily complete an NRA Range Safety Officer Course and test (score of 90 percent or better).
Have access to an electronic device that can be used to log in to NRAInstructors.org and a valid email address to comlpete the credentialing process.
This course is also available to currently certified NRA Trainers at nraonlinetraining.org.
